## Summary of the Topic

**Rational Numbers:**

A number which can be written in the form of \(\frac{p}{q}\) and \(q\ne 0\) is known as rational number. It is denoted by \(Q\).

**Irrational Numbers:**

A number which cannot be written in the form of \(\frac{p}{q}\) and \(q\ne 0\) is known as irrational number. It is denoted by \({Q}'\).

**Real Numbers:**

The union of sets of rational and irrational numbers is called real numbers and it is denoted by \(R\).

\(R=Q\cup {Q}'\)

**Terminating Decimals:**

The decimal which has finite number of digits in its decimal part is called terminating decimal.

**Recurring and Non-Terminating Decimals:**
